PlanRadar’s statistics feature allows you to customise how you want to visualise your ticket data and to create your own dashboards.
You can create an unlimited amount of statistics boards and each board allows you to create up to 8 charts where you can monitor different project statistics. To create a new board, click on ‘Create new board’ and then enter in a board title.
Once you have created a board, you can start creating charts. To do this, click on ‘Add chart’ found at the very top of your board or click on an empty chart spot.
Column charts use vertical bars to represent data. They can work with many different types of data, but they are most frequently used for comparing information.
Bar charts work just like column charts, but they use horizontal instead of vertical bars.
Line charts are ideal when you want to see your data over a period of time (i.e. Tickets created on).
Pie charts make it easy to compare proportions. Each value is shown as a slice of the pie, so it’s easy to see which values make up which percentage of the whole.
Here you can choose to limit the data to one specific form that is in use on your project. Alternatively, select all available forms for a complete overview of your project.
Here you can optionally apply a custom filter to your chart. The custom filters can be created within your Tickets tab and then applied to your charts.
Select an attribute from your ticket forms that will be applied to your graph as the base axis. (X-axis If it is a column/line chart, Y-axis in case of a bar chart). For example, select date created if you want to analyse data by date, or assignee if you want to see more information about the work done by project team members.
Count tickets:
This will show you the total number of tickets based on the attribute you have selected in the ‘Group by’ field.
Calculate sum over:
Selecting the calculate sum option will allow you to compare your selected ‘Group by’ tickets with the total sum of a selected numeric field. Please note that to use this value, you need to have selected a numerical field such as progress or another number or decimal field.
Calculate mean over:
Selecting the calculate mean option will allow you to compare your selected ‘Group by’ tickets with the mean sum of a selected numeric field. Please note that to use this value, you need to have selected a numerical field such as progress or another number or decimal field.
Maximum value of.. :
Selecting the maximum value option will allow you to compare your selected ‘Group by’ tickets with the Maximum value of a selected numeric field. Please note that to use this value, you need to have selected a numerical field such as progress or another number or decimal field.
Minimum value of..:
Selecting the minimum value option will allow you to compare your selected ‘Group by’ tickets with the minimum value of a selected numeric field. Please note that to use this value, you need to have selected a numerical field such as progress or another number or decimal field.
A Stacked bar chart will allow you to break down and compare the bars on the chart as a whole.
When you select the stacked bar option, you will need to select an additional field. This additional field will be shown as additional segments or categories within the bar. Different colours will be used to illustrate the different categories within the bar. For example, you can select assignee and then select ticket status to create a stacked bar chart showing the status of each team member’s tickets.
When you select the plot multiple line option, you will need to select an additional field. A multiple line graph shows the relationship between independent and dependent values of multiple sets of data.
Clicking on ‘Edit board’ will allow you to edit the name of the board that you are currently viewing.
Clicking delete board will allow you to delete the current board you are viewing
Clicking ‘Refresh data’ will refresh any data that might have been entered into your PlanRadar account. This allows you to make sure the charts you are viewing are up to date with the newest information.
You have the option to add charts directly into your report templates. To do this, navigate to the templates tab via the navigation bar once you have finished creating your charts.
Open the template you wish to add your charts to. You will see a ‘Add charts’ button. This button is available on every template page except for the tickets page.
Once you have clicked on ‘Add charts’, you can select which charts you would like to add to the report. You can also choose their size by changing the chart width and height.
