After years of experience as a construction project manager, PlanRadar’s co-founder Domagoj Dolinsek realised that a technology solution could make his job easier. He developed the core idea for PlanRadar. He reached out to established entrepreneurs Ibrahim Imam and Sander van de Rijdt, who provided valuable advice in the early days (now our Co-CEOs).
PlanRadar launched in Vienna with a small and agile team. Founder Domagoj brought the construction expertise and ideas and was joined by co-founders Constantin Köck in development (now our CTO) and Clemens Hammerl in design (now our Chief of Mobile Development).
Within a year of signing our first deal, we signed our 100th customer. It was a major milestone for the young company, but we knew it was just the beginning of a bigger story.
We might be European in origin, but in 2015 we signed our first customer from Asia, kickstarting our global journey. Five years later, PlanRadar supports customers in 46 countries around the world.
It was exciting to bring PlanRadar to Europe’s biggest PropTech event for the first time, making new contacts, catching up on the latest software trends and telling everyone about our product.
We were almost buried under an avalanche of recognition in 2017, winning 9 industry awards in a single year.
PlanRadar’s fortunes went from great to better as we received seed investment in order to support our international expansion and keep growing in the German-speaking market.
By the time we signed our 1000th customer, the company was already growing fast. In early 2021, PlanRadar served over 10,000 clients with more than 60,000 people using the app every week.
We’re always refining our software, but can you believe there was a time before our colour-coded tickets? The current set of colours launched in 2018, making tickets easier to navigate.
Reaching a team of 50 was a major milestone. We were able to develop new teams, bring in new expertise and better serve our customers. Plus, more colleagues meant bigger, better team events.
PlanRadar launched its first international subsidiaries in the UK and South Eastern Europe (SEE) region. Local offices and teams set up in London and Zagreb ready to serve brand-new customers.
We celebrated a milestone year by inviting our international colleagues to Vienna for the biggest PlanRadar party so far. Cheers!
PlanRadar received major Series A funding from leading global tech investor firms Insight Venture Partners and Headline (formerly e.ventures), recognising our potential to bring digitisation to construction & real estate industries around the world.
PlanRadar’s European expansion gains steam. In 2020, the company launched subsidiaries in France, Poland, CEE, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, Romania and Spain. We also welcomed lots of new colleagues to serve customers in more than 18 different languages. Increíble!
In order to support our rapidly growing team, we moved around the corner to an office on the Vienna’s famous Ringstrasse. Our new space is bigger and better than before, with lots of room to support future growth.
