Introduction
VillaCarte Group (VCG), a leading property developer in Thailand, is renowned for creating sustainable and high-quality resort properties in Phuket. With a vision to elevate efficiency and transparency across their projects, VCG turned to PlanRadar to streamline construction communication, documentation, and quality management.
Challenge
Before adopting PlanRadar, the VCG team faced a series of challenges that slowed down coordination and decision-making. Communication was fragmented across multiple messaging platforms and email threads, often resulting in lost information and delayed responses. Managing documentation and tracking construction progress was also cumbersome. Engineers had to manually document site visits, and paper-based systems consumed significant time. With several stakeholders involved, including contractors and clients living abroad, the team needed a centralised and transparent solution to manage every aspect of construction.
Solution
To address these issues, VCG implemented PlanRadar across its major projects, starting with Layan Green Park. The platform became their single source of truth, uniting all departments; from construction and procurement to finance, under one digital system. VCG leveraged several of PlanRadar’s key features to optimise workflows:
- 360° SiteView: Engineers used helmet-mounted cameras to capture site conditions room by room, allowing teams to review progress remotely and compare weekly developments.
- QR Codes: Installed in every apartment to give instant access and live updates. By scanning the QR codes, contractors and clients could immediately see defect tickets and progress status – a major step toward real-time transparency.
- Document Management & BIM Integration: All procurement, design, and invoice approvals were digitalised, ensuring faster collaboration and reduced paperwork. Integrating BIM data also helped the team resolve 67% of design-stage issues early in the project.
Outcome
The adoption of PlanRadar improved how VillaCarte Group manages projects, delivering measurable results across efficiency, communication, and quality control:
- 67% reduction in early design-stage issues due to adoption to BIM and digital collaboration.
- 50% less time spent on site inspections using SiteView and visual progress tracking.
- 30% decrease in paperwork through PlanRadar’s document management system.
- Full transparency for all stakeholders, including remote clients and shareholders.
As Dmitrii Nosov, Construction Manager at VillaCarte Group, explains, “PlanRadar was the perfect decision for our company, enabling us to digitalise our processes and bring everything into one centralised platform.”
Following the success at Layan Green Park, VCG upgraded to an Enterprise package.
They also intend to use PlanRadar for an upcoming Layan Verde development.
“Upgrading to the Enterprise license gave us complete flexibility across our construction department. With unlimited users and full access to data, every consultant, contractor, and engineer can collaborate in real time. It’s helped us achieve full transparency across projects, make faster decisions, and eliminate the risk of losing critical information.” Artur Karapetian, Director of Construction Operations at VillaCarte Group
With PlanRadar, VillaCarte Group continues to build smarter, safer, and more sustainable developments that set new standards for transparency and innovation in Thailand’s construction industry. “For us, PlanRadar is not just a tool — it’s a way to keep our team united, efficient, and focused on results.” said Elya Grigoryan, Contracts Coordinator at VillaCarte Group.
