The defect management challenge
The goal was to make the platform easy to use, which would allow us to simplify maintenance control throughout the construction life cycle and save time for our team members. Since ELEMSI is a BIM-based organization, it was important that the digital platform also had appropriate support. That’s why we chose PlanRadar. The first project on which the program was tested was the construction of a new block of the British International School in Tbilisi.
The main priority in the project was time, they had to finish the construction in one year. That is why there were many defects and gaps generated by the contractors in the process.
The challenge for the company was to fix these defects in time and eliminate them quickly. PlanRadar helped a lot in this process and we got the best result. Due to the specifics of the construction project, it is important to bring the entities involved in the process into a common information field. PlanRadar allows to communicate with contractors in a single space, record construction defects, and effectively distribute tasks.
The application provides real-time data visualization during the construction project, which in turn allows us to make decisions faster and more efficiently. The platform allows you to prepare reports, generate statistics, and create individual electronic documents based on the data reflected in it.

The project manager of another project – the Hilton brand hotel in Hampton – Levan Maisuradze noticed, that the stage of facade works of the hotel carried out faster, in particular, the arrangement of the steel structure of the eastern facade. “We have been actively using the PlanRadar program in the work process for more than 6 months.
The program provides an opportunity to monitor the ongoing processes through the mobile application in parallel with the inspection of construction works.”
