The defect management challenge
The goal was to make the platform easy to use, which would allow us to simplify maintenance control throughout the construction life cycle and save time for our team members. Since ELEMSI is a BIM-based organization, it was important that the digital platform also had appropriate support. That’s why we chose PlanRadar. The first project on which the program was tested was the construction of a new block of the British International School in Tbilisi.
The main priority in the project was time, they had to finish the construction in one year. That is why there were many defects and gaps generated by the contractors in the process.
The challenge for the company was to fix these defects in time and eliminate them quickly. PlanRadar helped a lot in this process and we got the best result. Due to the specifics of the construction project, it is important to bring the entities involved in the process into a common information field. The program provides an opportunity to monitor the ongoing processes through the mobile application in parallel with the inspection of construction works.”
